The end of 2010 saw the formation of a new partnership between myself and Family Elmerhaus. Not only did I gain the rides of their super stallions Furst Grandios and Blickpunkt but I also relocated my international dressage stables to their stables in Lippetal-Lippborg. Zucht and Sport Pferde Schmidt is the home of super star breeding stallion Belissimo M.
Hermann owns and runs a beautiful agistment and training facility in Marl, Germany. Himself a successful dressage and showjumping competitor, Hermann has trained with many of the greats. He has been a member of the German B cader and has trained many horses to top level. Today, most of his time is consumed training riders both in Germany and aboard.
Although a blessed life, living and working in Europe, riding beautiful horses day in and day out, one could not do this without the love and support from home. Although not from a 'horsey' background, my husband Ki, has supported my dreams for many years. Often travelling with me to competitions and always working on my website, Ki is the man behind the scenes that listens and supports.
Schmiddie is the manager of Zucht und Sportpferde Schmidt. In his own business he manages the breeding committments/ promotions/ management of the ZS stallions as well as the upbringing and starting of the upcoming ZS stock. Sharing the same premises and working together with the ZS stallions has naturally led to our business working together and Schmiddie is available to manage the many 'outside' stallions that are in my training stable for their breeding commitments.
Bella is from Perth, Western Australia and has been riding almost her entire life. She started training with Hayley at the age of 13 and when Hayley first relocated to Germany, was lucky enough to train under the great Harry Boldt. Bella has numerous state and national successes to her credit, was a member of the silver winning Australian Dressage Team at the 2010 Youth Olympics and is a current member of the Australian Young Riders Squad.
Ben hails from country Victoria and has been riding since the age of 12... In 2010 he was awarded the Victorian Young Ambassador of the Year award for dressage ... After meeting Hayley during her Australian clinics in 2010, Ben was invited to visit the stables of Team HB in 2011.
With a great Aussie sense of humour, top work ethic and talent with young horses and stallions, Ben balances the team taking responsibility for many of the youngsters in the stable.
Mel also hails from Perth Western Australia and has been riding most of her life. Mel and Hayley actually spent a large part of their childhood riding together in the pony show ring in Perth. After meeting again at the Australian Coaching Tour Hayley made in late 2010, Mel visited Team HB early in 2011.
Hayley has invited Mel back to join her team leading into 2012 where she will be responsible for grooming, riding youngsters and show preparations.
