Bates Saddlery was formed in 1934 when Mr George Bates borrowed $100 from his sister, bought a sewing machine and began to make saddles on the verandah of his home in Perth, Western Australia. From these humble beginnings, Bates Saddlery has grown to become one of the most respected manufacturers of riding saddles in the world.
From inception, the aim of George Bates was to produce high quality saddles for a variety of equestrian uses and over the decades the company has remained true to its founder's vision.

'Like' Birdie's "Birds Equisports" facebook page and keep up to date with this new little Aussie venture!
Hi Form has been assisting horses all over Australia and the world.
This wonderful Aussie company evolved in to the company it is today. In 1987 Antoinette Foster had put together a product called HerbaNerve to help assist her Quarter Horse mare "Biff" to relax and concentrate at shows. Using her knowledge of nutrition, herbs, vitamins, minerals and amino acids through use in people and horses, Antoinette's first formula was an instant hit.
Haute Couture is the creation of custom fitted clothing. Clothes that fit with style, elegance, comfort, and most importantly, are suited to the purchasers image, budget, needs and desires. This is a concept that we at Equissentials take seriously. That's why 'Equissentials for all your riding essentials' is more than a catchy marketing phrase to us. We really care that what we sell is suits the need, fits right, looks great on and stands up to wear and tear.
